President
Joe Donnelly is the President of the non-profit LFA Rush club in Berthoud. Joe' lives in Berthoud and has 3 boys who have been playing with LFA Rush for 5 years. He also serves on the Berthoud Planning Commission and is excited to partner with the Town of Berthoud and Rush to provide an opportunity for competitive soccer in our community. "Club soccer has been a big, positive part of my kids' life. Our coaches have taught my kids to be great soccer players, but more importantly taught valuable life lessons in sportsmanship and and how to be a positive team-player."
Administrator Extraordinaire
Christy and her family have lived in Berthoud for 15+ years. Christy and her husband grew up playing soccer as goalkeepers and share their passion for the sport with their four boys. The Manchester boys have been playing with LFA Rush since the club formed in Rick Lizondo’s backyard soccer field. Christy’s goal is to help maintain the forward vision of LFA Rush while keeping the roots of the club at the forefront of future decisions. Providing youth athletes with a place that will challenge and develop their soccer skills while fostering a supportive environment for sportsmanship and growing their love for the game is her priority.
Director of Coaching
Rick Lizondo and his family are 25-year residents of Longmont, Colorado. He has been coaching and teaching youth soccer since 1998, in association with clubs such as Longmont Express, Storm North, Longmont United Soccer Club, FC Boulder, Trebol Soccer Club, SVFC, and now LFA Rush. For 15 years he owned and directed Soccer Dynamics, an independent youth soccer organization, working with clubs as a training clinician, team coach and technical consultant, in addition to providing private lessons and summer camps. During his time in youth soccer, Rick has coached well over 100 competitive teams from ages 10-18 in both league and tournament settings. He graduated with a B.A. from UC Berkeley in Architecture in 1992, however soon afterward he found his true calling as a dedicated teacher of the Cruyff-inspired Barcelona style of soccer.
Coach
Garrett grew up on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and played club soccer for Crusaders United Soccer Club, with his team winning the 2009 Presidents Cup National Title. His team also ranked #1 in Region 1 and top 25 nationally. Following the successful club career, Garrett was recruited and offered division 1 scholarships to VMI, Bryant University, NJIT, VCU, Merrimack, and UMASS Lowell. Due to injury history, he was forced to medically retire and moved into coaching/semi-professional playing for a few years while also training high school, college and professional athletes as a certified strength and conditioning coach. Garrett has been coaching all levels of soccer from youth, to middle school, to high school level for the last 10 years and is excited to be LFA’s goalkeeper coach.
Coach
Kacey McConagha and her family are 8-year residents of the Northern Colorado area and are currently living in Berthoud, CO. She has coaching experience at the U-6, U-8, U-13, college, and most recently the high school levels for both club and recreational soccer in Arizona and Colorado. Kacey graduated with a B.S. from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where she played college soccer after years of playing club and high school soccer in Arizona. She recently graduated with an MBA from CSUG. As a Liverpool FC fan, Kacey appreciates and focuses on a possession style of play, believes in player and character development, and is excited to join the coaches at LPFA this season.
Coach
Seanan is from Boulder, CO. Almost all of his competitive club soccer years were spent playing for Rick Lizondo at both SVFC and LFA. He graduated from Silver Creek High School in Longmont and is currently in his senior year at CU Boulder where he’s studying Biomedical Engineering.
Coach
Rikky was born in Loveland, CO and has played soccer for roughly 16 years, from rec through club and 4 years of high school varsity. His passion for the sport grew as a child and led him to experiencing the culture of football in European countries such as England and France, through playing with locals and attending matches. He graduated from Berthoud High School in 2022, earning all-conference honors, and finished his youth club career with Lizondo Futbol Academy. He currently attends Front Range Community College.
